How it works

You will be asked to provide a few photos and measurements, and we will discuss your needs and requests.  A price estimate will be provided to you for the project.  All free of charge.

If you decide to move forward, I might visit your space in person or ask for more specific measurements and pictures.

Sketches are usually completed in less than a week. Once the sketch is complete you will have the opportunity to make changes, and 5-10 digital images will be emailed to you.

Original sketches and images are saved indefinitely, so if you need to come back later and request more changes, we can re-open the project.  Hourly fees apply.

What's it cost?

$200-$400*

This service is charged on an hourly basis. Costs depend on the size of the space, the level of detail needed and the number of changes you ask to have made to the sketch.  An estimate is provided free of charge prior to engaging me for the service.

Please Note:

The sketching software used for this service cannot generate exact representations of color, and should not be used as the primary method through which a paint color is chosen.  It is a very helpful secondary reference and can be used to give general ideas of color and placement of that color within a space.

Historic Board Approvals

A young couple in Hilliard wanted to add a significant addition to their small home.  But the local Historic Board needed to approve the project, and architectural drawings did not show color and material detailing, nor the new plans for landscaping and driveway placement.  A sketch allowed the board to see all the elements together, and the project was approved.

HOA Approvals

A homeowner in Blacklick wished to have his home repainted, but he needed visuals in order to communicate his ideas to his HOA for approval.

Communication with contractors

A west Columbus family was embarking on a total gut renovation of their kitchen, including new custom cabinetry.  A sketch of the envisioned space enabled the owners to visualize every aspect of the new space and discuss details with contractors before work commenced.  Many important aspects of the construction were caught early and addressed as a result.

Envisioning your ideas

A husband and wife bought a Dublin fixer upper but struggled to communicate their ideas to each other about how they wanted to update their space.  A sketch of their ideas allowed them to both see what they were envisioning, make changes together and get going on the decision making process.
